The Pastor's Vision

In response to the question asked of me " What is your vision for the Rising Star Church?" I provide the following response from the depth of my spirit:

First and foremost, my vision is never to bring disgrace upon the Church of Our Savior.

I believe that I have been called by God ,through the church to the set apart ministry in the church of the Brethren. It is my calling and function as a minister to lead and facilitate the church in its mission to obey and serve Christ and to witness to the Good News of the Gospel. I am committed to fulfilling the trust the church has placed in me by maintaining a high standard of Christian conviction by sincerity of purpose, by nurturing and sharing my gifts, and by integrity of my character. I am dedicated to upholding the dignitiy and work of every person who seeks or is reached by my care and proclamation.

                  My vision is God's purpose: To be responsible and honest in the management of God's intent; to respect the privacy of individuals and not divulge information obtained in confidence without their consent.

                 My intent is Jesus' intent: To preach the Gospel to the poor; heal the broken hearted; preach deliverance to those held captive and under bondage; help the spiritually blind to see and to set at liberty those who are bruised.

                My vision for the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church and all who will hear, is to preach the acceptable year of our Lord. My vision according to His Word is to preach and teach what He has taught me. Amen!

                Finally it is up to Jesus and the accpetance of the promise of the Father according to our faith if the vision shall come to pass.
